Produktionsdramaturgien im theatralen Einsatz von Mixed Reality.
Supervisors: Ass.Prof.Dr. Alexandra Portmann (Universität Bern) and Dr. Yvonne Schmidt (Hochschule der Künste Bern)
Theatre per se is one of those art forms in which several disciplines (must) work together to create an audience-centred, multi-sensory experience that in many ways can already be described as mixed reality (Wejdom 2017, 7). Thus, because a theatrical performance is always collaborative and composed of multiple and shifting layers or inputs that are interconnected and may also interfere with each other, the production and staging process requires ongoing agile creative negotiation that demands effective dramatic intelligence (Cochrane & Trencsényi 2014, 30). With reference to Guy Coods, this work is based on an understanding of dramaturgy that focuses on the aspect of the facilitation of such production processes and whose practice expands and transforms, among other things, with the changing relationships of space and audience, but especially with the use of new technologies (Cochrane & Trencsényi 2014, 6).
